Left to right. Special deputy assigned to Narcotics, Charlie Parker, Narcotics agents Joe Williams and John Messer. Messer has since passed away and Joe is an executive with a well known nation wide company. Pictures were taken in 1971. Parker while holding down a day job, worked the four to twelve shift till 1974 in Nueces county. He worked in plain clothes and in a covert capacity. All of the men worked under the outstanding Chief Deputy George Miller. The seventies had such notorious drug dealers as Fred Gomez Carrasco and his ring of bad guys. Many of the drug busts were from men working for Carrasco.
The picture is old and faded but Charlie Parker considers it as his proudest possession of the times. He was allowed to keep his badge and ID and it hangs proudly on his wall today.
